Ok, so I'm a Southern girl tried and true. I love Southern sweet iced tea - the sweeter the better. I love camping, especially at Summersville Lake. I've been a NASCAR fan since age 4 or possibly younger. My first race I was 5 at North Wilkesboro. For you new fans, that's a small little track (no longer in use) near I-77 Northwest of Statesville, NC. That's the day I hung up my Bill Elliott and Richard Petty hats for Dale Earnhardt. My first driver away from what my parents cheered for. The aboved mentioned drivers and Davey Allison (forever remembered) were the top drivers at my home. I've been to Daytona, Bristol, Martinsville, and many Charlotte races. I want to knock Atlanta and Darlington off the list soon. I'm a life long fan. I know the history of the sport. Not from reading about it or watching "Back in the Day". I watched the reruns of Car and Track on TNN back in the early 90s. I watched the races or listened to them on the radio. I watched Rusty's famous flip. I can name the driver, car number, and sponsor for most now not racing drivers. New fans that think they know the sport and history get on my nerves. They don't know who Alan Kulwicki is or where the famous "Polish victory lap" came from. Precedence to them happened last year. Precedence to me happened back in 1988.
I am a marketing student. I would love to work in sports marketing. NFL or NASCAR are my top two but NCAA Football, MLB, or NHL would be fun too. I tend to be very rational and literal.
I also know QUITE a bit about cars, more than most race fans.
I don't sit well with dishonesty and cheating. PERIOD. No matter where it is in life it's not needed.
